We stayed at Jake’s place while working at Victory Heights, and it was perfect for our crew. The location made our daily commute easy, and the space itself was clean, comfortable, and well set up for a group. Jake was a great host—responsive, helpful, and made sure everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone coming to Pittsburgh for work or leisure.

Jake was an excellent communicator. From the time of the initial booking to checkout, he was responsive and answered all questions (I had many) within an hour. Additionally, the location was perfect. It was within minutes to many restaurants and stores in a very safe neighborhood. Finally, the space was exactly as described and was perfect for a family gathering. In fact, the next time we are in Pittsburgh for such an event, we will not look any further hoping Jake’s space will be available.

This is a nice place near a couple of great neighborhoods/towns. The house is spacious enough for everyone to do their own thing, attractive & clean, and had every ammenity needed including extremely comfortable beds. It is in an urban area and some houses aren't as well kept as this one, but worth it if you want to be close to things to do. It's in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Jake was incredibly responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

There is nothing, but positive things to say about Jake and the place itself. Jake was very responsive, understanding, and reliable. Everything was comfortable and beautiful! He made our stay very memorable and comfortable, and I would definitely book again. Also bonus points, for the endless picture opportunities.

Jake’s place was perfect! It was clean and homey and the beds were so comfortable I slept soundly the whole night. The water pressure was good with all 3 showers going and we didn’t run out of hot water. The air conditioning was good even on the top floor, which made for a good nights sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed. The porch was well lit to be able to get in without complications. Here were so many nice eateries close by. I would hope next time I am in Pittsburgh Jake’s place is available because I would definitely stay again.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Jake's home. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 people. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We didn't stay in the house much or cook there because we were in town for my daughter's wedding, but it had everything you could possibly need. We appreciated flexibility to drop off items a bit earlier than check-in too. Jake was always quick to respond. We would highly recommend this rental to others!

Jake was a great host He responded to my inquiries very quickly. The house is as described and was walking distance to restaurants and shops. The location was central to everywhere we planned on going, PNC park, the zoo, PITT university and so much more. There were minor things in the house that were not the highest standard but did not affect our stay or were of real significance but for some it may be. I would definitely recommend this home, lots of space and a convenient location. Would stay again!

Our stay in Pittsburgh went off without a hitch partially due to the ease and convenience of the Airbnb we rented. Matched the description, comfortable beds, cool in the summer and stocked kitchen made our stay pleasant. Jake was also super responsive when we had any questions.

We had a wonderful time at Jake’s place! Everything was perfect. We had 3 vehicles in our party, and street parking was easy and free. Jake was so quick in responding to my messages. This was a last minute decision for our group driving from a softball tournament and he was on it! So helpful.

We really liked the location of this house. There were a lot of good restaurants within walking distance, as well as grocery stores (Trader Joe's, Fine Wine and Spirits), Starbucks, etc. It was an easy drive to Carnegie Art Museum (2.1 miles away) and PNC Park (8.9 miles away). Jake had great communication, and we were able to check-in a little earlier than expected (after confirming with Jake). The place was clean, and we had a great weekend. The living room was cramped and not big enough for 6 people (the old bricked-in fireplace divided the room to make it small). In a perfect world, it would be nice if that feature was removed to open up the living area. Despite that, we would come back to this house for sure. Thank you!

This is a great place to stay if you have a large group as there are many large bedrooms and the beds are very comfy. The kitchen had all the basics if you want to cook and there were plenty of dishes, etc, to accommodate a large group. Having a washer/ dryer is helpful for long stays. There are lots of restaurants and bars within a short walking distance, and it's not much further to walk to a Super Target for groceries, etc. There is a convenient bus station across the street to get you wherever you need to go. The house was in a nice neighborhood where we felt very safe. It was also very clean and like new inside, tastefully decorated, and very inviting. The sectional in the living room was a little tight when the 8 of us were all together, so we often gathered around the huge kitchen island and we were very comfortable. Having the option of 2 parking spots was very handy and we used them both. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a large group for a graduation. Excellent accommodations, walkable, great location. House as described. Very nice & comfortable for all ages.

Size was probably overkill for our group of 7. A group of 12 can easily fit. Finishes were amazing and everything was beautiful. Kitchen island is huge. Beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable. Walkable to some nice restaurants, coffee shops and grocery store. Quiet street and easy to get downtown and to Pitt’s campus. The living room is a little small and getting a group around the dining room table is tough. The couch is. Very worn and not very comfortable. Limited cooking utensils (small frying pan - especially for a place that sleeps 12- with loose handles). But overall, we would definitely stay there again.

Stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed the apartment! Very well decorated. Loved the hardwoods throughout and that there was a bedroom downstairs as we were traveling with someone who had mobility issues. A bedroom downstairs was hard to find in Pittsburgh. Jake took care of the little touches like full size blankets, sound machines, TVs and desk in every room, luggage racks in every room and wooden hangers. Lovely!! Jake was very responsive and by far the easiest to work with in the few times I’ve rented in Pittsburgh. Was also nice to have washer and dryer along with detergent. We cooked the entire time and I do think the pots and pans need to be replaced. I was able to borrow 2 pots from a friend instead. Overall I would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at 220 Emerson St! The home is beautifully maintained, clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. One of the standout features for us was the first-floor bedroom and full bathroom, which made a huge difference for my elderly parent. It allowed them to move around with ease and feel right at home without the strain of stairs—something that can be hard to find in older Pittsburgh homes. The location is peaceful yet convenient, and Jake was responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Whether you’re visiting family, in town for work, or exploring the city, this home is a gem—especially if you have minor accessibility needs. We’d absolutely stay here again!

This was such an awesome stay! First, Jake was not overly communicative but gave all the right information. Friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Made my family and I feel at home in the unit! Now let’s get into this space!! It was absolutely beautiful and soooo spacious! So many bedrooms and bathrooms, this made us happy! The kitchen was set to perfection with all the essentials you may need. Styled simply, modernly, and so fashionably. If you are looking for a comfortable stay this place fits the bill. The house itself was very affordable considering the number of bedrooms / bathrooms and was surprisingly roomy. Check-in and access were easy. The house was absolutely lovely. The rooms are large and the beds beyond comfortable. We cooked a meal in but mostly took advantage of local cuisine. I loved that there was plenty of space with desks to work at. You can walk pretty much anywhere you’d like or take public transport. Would absolutely stay again!

Felt right at home and Jake is an awesome host!

I was extremely impressed with the house. Not only it's very new (as of Jan 2025), but also every room is well decorated and clean. The place is very spacious and comfortably fit the whole extended family, including nine adults and two kids. The location is a huge plus, as it's half a block from numerous restaurants and other commercial establishments.

Thanks to a winter storm, we sadly weren’t able to actually stay at this beautiful home— but Jake was always responsive, understanding, and kind over all of our messages. A great host and we hope to rebook another time. :)

We all had a very nice stay in the house. All the bedrooms and amenities were clean and worked well. Didn't have any trouble during check in or check out at all as well.

My family of 7 (5 adults, 2 children) stayed here and we enjoyed the amount of space and large beds. The living room is a little small, but we were cozy in the large sectional. The house was equipped with everything we needed and then some. I would stay here again; especially if I have a large group.

We had a big group of 5 adults and 3 kids and there was so much room for all of us! The place was so spacious. The beds are comfortable and the bedding was so soft we were sad we didn’t have another night. We walked to dinner and then we decided to go back out for ice cream a little later and both businesses were only a 5 minute walk or less. We used the parking space provided and we also had one more car that was able to secure a spot right in front of our house so that was awesome to be able to walk around and not worry about parking. It felt really good to notice all the ways Jake went above and beyond for the guests. Too often we get to a home and there’s no soap in the bathrooms or not enough toilet paper but in this case we had soap and extra TP in every bathroom but also shampoo, conditioner and body wash in every shower. You can confidently book this apartment. We will definitely stay here again next year when we come back!

Great location, very quiet, very spacious house and comfortable visiting spaces and bedrooms.

This home was extremely clean and comfortable! Bedroom + bath downstairs and 4 bedrooms/2 baths upstairs gave everyone space! The downstairs area was perfect for the family to relax in the large kitchen or livingroom area. 1 parking space was available behind the building and you could add other license plates for additional free parking too! The location was close to Target (you could walk), the busway, restaurants and other stores like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods! The closed in porch was perfect for private conversations and just relaxing. We would definitely stay again--thank you Jake!

We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for all of us. Hot water always available for showers. Location was great I was able to take public transportation straight from airport with short walk to place. Beds were comfortable. Amenities a plus! Check out a breeze and easy no extra work required. Few things needed some upgrades: bathrooms would be nice to have extra towel racks placed and usable (one bathroom had none looked like they were pulled off wall). Toilet paper holder hung upside down. It would be nice to have tvs in all bedrooms with a remote for each tv. Also kitchen floor could have been mopped better noted sticky spots and when wiped with paper towel they were pretty black. Jake was an extremely responsive host never waited for a response. Thank you for that Jake. Overall a great trip and stay. Won’t go wrong renting this place for your Pittsburgh stay.

From my first Question to my Last Jake was so responsive and easy to get ahold of ! The house is in a great area walkable to some cute restaurants and Close to a Trader Joe’s so if you need something it was quick to go Get ! We had 8 people and the house was more than enough room .The Beds were so comfortable only problem is some of the hardware in the bathroom was broken but no biggie ! House was stocked with plenty of glasses and dishes !! I mean it was just perfect for our group and even better that the Steelers won! We will definitely be back and rent again ! My Family rented another one of Jake’s houses and loved it also !

Truly impressed with our stay and would stay again. The place is easy to find with accessible parking. The space was quite big yet cozy and home-y. Our family of 9 had so much space and the design works well; we had no problem showering at the same times in the three bathrooms (never ran out of hot water). The beds are very comfortable (so much so that we plan on getting the same mattress we slept on). The part of town the house is in is quite accessible and walkable; it's a short distance to good restaurants and cute shops. The area was very safe and quiet. Host was kind and easy to work with.

This Shadyside airbnb far exceeded our expectations! It was our lucky day when we were searching the site to have found Jake's airbnb. Extremely comfortable stay for two couples and a pupper. Nice and clean property. Location as described. However, it was lacking in kitchen supplies such as pots/pans, wine opener, and sufficient trash bags. Exhaust above the stove didn’t work, setting off smoke detectors. Easy fixes. Solid place to stay in Pittsburgh.

What a gem! This lovely home was perfect for our needs. Excellent location, we got out and walked every morning while in Shadyside. My husband and I hosted two of our daughters, their spouses, children and a little dog while we visited Pittsburgh and celebrated our third daughter’s marriage. All of us felt comfortable together there, never felt on top of each other. My three year old grandson was impressed with the lighting. “There’s lights everywhere!” My granddaughter felt like a princess in her very own, elegant bedroom. Parking was easy on the street in front of the place, after the reserved spot in the rear of the building was claimed by me. Spotlessly clean, odor free. Quiet. I hope that we can stay here every time we come down to Pittsburgh. (Even if it’s just my husband and I)

This is a great place in ShadySide. Perfect location, walk to lots of restaurants, grocery stores, even Bakery Square. It was both a quiet neighborhood and easy to access lots of places. Safe neighborhood, parking was great. The house itself was perfect for 5-6 to have their own private bedroom would be comfortable for 10 or more. Pristinely clean and easily accessible. Jake was easy to communicate with and always very quick in his responses. We would totally stay there again!!

The apartment was a great find in Shadyside. It was affordably priced for how many people it can sleep and for its amenities. The furnishings were excellent, the appliances were clean and worked perfectly, and the place was clean. Highly recommended for folks wanting a vacation in Pittsburgh.

Absolutely wonderful place! I highly recommend it!

We enjoyed 6 weeks at this 2-story home on a quiet, residential street in Shadyside. The location was exceptional. It was a 7-minute walk to Trader Joe's, a 5-minute walk to Target, a 13-minute walk to Whole Foods, and a mere 4 minutes to the Ice Cream Parlor! We could reach Carnegie Mellon by car in 7 minutes. Many restaurants and stores were nearby- too many to sample in 6 weeks! The home was renovated extensively in the summer/fall of 2023 so everything has a clean, new appearance. Bonus: the washer and dryer are commercial grade and both can handle large loads of laundry quickly and efficiently. Care has been taken with the decor in each room; there is a pleasing contemporary theme throughout. It is very clean! The beds are comfortable and the sheets and comforter are inviting. The house is represented very accurately in the photos provided. We found our host, Jake, to be personable, courteous, and very responsive to our needs. This was a good experience for us.

The apartment is in a very cute, safe, walkable neighborhood. It’s very close to multiple restaurants and shopping. The space is exactly like the pictures. It was great for our family of four to have all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds are super comfy and there are plenty of extra blankets and pillows available in the closets. Jake is a very responsive person and answered any questions immediately. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place, lots of room and wonderful location.

This is a great property for groups or families. Rarely does a property with so many beds/bedrooms also provide open spaces for meals and gathering but this one does it amazingly well. Great kitchen, great living room, and plenty of privacy with the bedrooms. The property is also in the perfect location for walkability through both Shadyside and East Liberty. Lastly, Jake’s communication is proactive, congenial, attentive and accommodating without being controlling. It’s true hospitality.

This was only my second time using AIR BNB. Jake was an outstanding host. He clearly communicated and was proactive in all his messaging. We came into Pittsburgh to watch a Steelers game. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and exactly as described, even better if that's possible. It was updated, clean and pristine. It was even stocked with coffee, filters, shampoo etc. Linens and beds were amazing. It sleeps 14 and we came with 10 people. The house is spacious and completely updated to including big TV's in every room. The kitchen is huge and accommodated all of us easily. My favorite part, was the keyless entry. Jake had our code set before we arrived and all we had to do was enter our code to get in and out. Never needed to worry about carrying another key. As someone that can be critical, I can honestly find nothing critical to say about our stay. It was perfect in every way. 15 minutes from the south side and the stadium...Just absolutely perfect for our budget!

Great stay in a nice location. Plenty of space to spread out. Only downside was the shower water pressure was not great especially if more than one person tried to shower at the same time.

We decided at the last minute to stay at an airbnb instead of a hotel. I reached out to Jake and responded within minutes. The home was as advertised on the site...very clean and very nice decor. Jake was friendly and shared of his experience at the University of Pittsburgh... where my daughter is considering attending. I have several upcoming appointments at UPMC and would definitely look to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was in a great location and close to everything. It was very clean, had everything we could need, and plenty of space. We would definitely stay here again!

Jake was by far the best AirBnb host I have ever had. He truly cares about all of his guests and his home showcases that. The beds were incredibly comfy & the bathrooms were spotless. There were even white noise machines in every bedroom! When coming to Pittsburgh, I will always stay here!

Jake is an extraordinary host. We have rented from Jake several times and he consistently exceeds expectations. His communication is prompt, personal, professional, respectful, and very informative. Jake’s home in Shadyside is absolutely amazing! It is modern and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is fully stocked and a joy to cook in. The bedrooms are luxurious, with very comfortable beds. Each bedroom is beautifully decorated. The bathrooms include paper products, soap, shampoo and conditioner. The living room is a lovely area to unwind as a family and the large screen TV is perfect for watching movies. The house was spotless. We definitely recommend this home, location, and Jake! Jake was an amazing host. Everything was as decribed. The apartment was very spacious and was even loaded with everything needed. I loved that the door did not need keys just a programmed code. I would recommend this stay

Very pleasant stay at this home. Lots of space & great walkable location in Shadyside! Host Jake is very responsive. Kitchen & bathrooms are all well stocked with basics, shampoo not to mention great towels & linens! We would definitely stay here again.
